ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter runs a guide and outfitting operation in Montana with a stated commitment to preserving the resource alongside providing good hunting. They take the role of steward seriously, and that extends in three directions, to the wildlife, to the landowners who make the access possible, and to the sportsmen who book with them. Operating ethically and sustainably is treated as the baseline rather than a selling point. Antelope are among the species pursued, hunted across large blocks of open country. Experienced western hunters and people on a first hunt are handled with the same care, and the goal in either case is the best experience the ground and the season can produce.

HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter has access to more than seventy-five thousand acres of antelope ground in Unit 700, which is more ground than can realistically be covered in a single season. Archery hunters have two good options. Spot and stalk works, and closing the last hundred yards on a pronghorn in open country is as hard as bowhunting gets. The other approach is setting a decoy and letting a buck come charging in, which is one of the more exhilarating things that happens in western hunting. Rifle hunters get a different experience. The unit sees little pressure, the population is rebounding well, and the genetics are strong, so the hunt is quick, relaxed, and enjoyable enough that families come along. Guides know the unit well. Hunters can expect to see anywhere from two to eight or more bucks a day. Bucks average sixty-five to seventy-five inches and better, with several each year pushing past eighty.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Two options are available. On the guide-only hunt, hunters arrange and pay for their own meals and lodging in Roundup, Montana, the nearest town to the hunting area, which suits hunters who prefer to handle their own logistics. On the fully outfitted hunt, the outfitter provides both meals and lodging at one of their lodges close to the hunting ground, so nothing needs to be booked or coordinated. The lodge option also cuts the daily drive down, which means more time hunting and less time on the road. Either way the guiding is the same, and the difference comes down to how much a hunter wants handled for them.
