ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This long-established, guiding operation manages an exclusive and highly productive mountain concession that has been professionally developed over decades. Built on a foundation of hard work, ethical hunting practices, and conservation-minded management, the operation is known for personalized service, experienced sheep guides, and consistently strong game quality. With a commitment to fair-chase hunting and long-term resource stewardship, the outfitter limits pressure through strict quotas and delivers a high-end experience built largely on repeat and referral clientele.

HUNT DETAILS:
Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep hunts are conducted in expansive, high-elevation mountain terrain featuring steep basins, broken cliffs, alpine ridgelines, and classic sheep country ideal for long-range glassing. Elevations range from approximately 3,500 to over 10,000 feet, and hunting methods rely heavily on binoculars, spotting scopes, patience, and disciplined foot travel. Horses and mules are used extensively to access remote portions of the concession, allowing hunters to reach prime sheep habitat efficiently before transitioning to physically demanding stalks on foot. Hunters should be well-prepared for sustained climbing, variable weather conditions, and extended days in rugged terrain.

The concession encompasses approximately 500 square miles across two management zones, providing excellent sheep distribution and minimal hunting pressure. Due to limited-entry regulations for residents and strict outfitter quotas, sheep populations are strong and expanding, with frequent daily sightings of rams and ewes. Trophy expectations are excellent, with consistent production of mature, full-curl rams in the 160–175 class range, and 170-inch rams considered a realistic benchmark on a successful hunt. Hunts are limited to just 2–3 sheep hunters per season, ensuring a low-density, high-quality experience with 100% opportunity rates over the years.

Hunts are typically structured as 12-day guided experiences, with arrival on Day 1, hunting on Days 2–13, and departure on Day 14. Each hunter is paired one-on-one with an experienced sheep guide, supported by wranglers and pack stock. The area supports exceptional game diversity, and while the primary focus remains bighorn sheep, hunters can expect to see large numbers of mountain goats, elk, mule deer, and moose throughout the hunt. All sheep are taken under full-curl requirements, and the operation emphasizes ethical harvest, careful shot selection, and responsible meat and trophy care following a successful hunt.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in well-maintained cabin-style camps designed for comfort and efficiency in remote mountain settings. Main camps feature solid bunkhouses, cookhouses with full kitchens, running water, and propane-heated shower systems, providing a welcome retreat after long days in the field. Additional spike camps are strategically placed throughout the territory to maximize hunting efficiency and access to sheep country. Camps are accessed by vehicle to trailheads, followed by horseback travel, with all supplies and gear packed in by stock. Meals are hearty, home-style, and prepared by dedicated camp staff.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
All required licenses and species tags are arranged in advance and ready upon arrival. Hunters are responsible for the basic non-resident hunting license, applicable species tags, and mandatory conservation fees. Sheep hunts operate under strict quota systems with full-curl regulations. Deposits are required to secure bookings, with balance due prior to departure to camp. The outfitter assists with all necessary documentation, meat care, and trophy export logistics, including coordination for taxidermy and shipping if requested. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended due to limited availability and non-refundable deposits.
