The area this outfitter hunts has a very strong population of black bears where shot opportunity is 100% with all clients to date. The average size of the bears harvested is north of 6.5'. With some patience, taking a bear over 7' is possible. For guys who are looking for a color phase bear, they have them all (blonde, cinnamon, cherry, and brown). Bears that are 6.5-7' generally weigh 275 to 350 lbs. Once they get over 7', they can weigh up to 400-500 lbs. Last year, the biggest bear taken in the area they hunted was 8' square and weighed 483 lbs.

About Outfitter

The lodge is located a short drive from Goodsoil, SK. Lodging is fully modern with individual rooms for hunters and couples. The outfitter recommends guests fly into Saskatoon or Edmonton International Airport. From the lodge, it is 370 km to Saskatoon and 352 km to Edmonton. Both of these routes are paved highways the whole way. Hunters are responsible for their transportation from the airport to camp. Airport pickup is offered at an additional fee. Special room rates are available at select hotels near both of these airports to stay at on either end of your trip. A majority of their hunters rent vehicles and drive from the airport.
