ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This Huntin’ Fool Adventures–endorsed operation is built on more than two decades of hands-on guiding and outfitting experience in some of the most remote wilderness on the continent. The outfitter began working as a horse wrangler at a young age and has since dedicated over 23 consecutive seasons to guiding big game hunts, with extensive experience on wild sheep in true mountain environments. Having guided well over 100 sheep and countless other species across multiple countries and jurisdictions, the team has refined a highly disciplined, low-pressure approach that prioritizes mature animals, ethical harvest, and exceptional client experience. Their passion lies in the far North, where years of patience and stewardship have culminated in exclusive access to an expansive, lightly hunted concession.
HUNT DETAILS:
Dall sheep hunts are conducted in an exceptionally remote, roadless wilderness that offers a true no-pressure experience, with hunters often spending the entire hunt without encountering another person. Access is achieved by bush aircraft, horses, backpack travel, and jet boats, allowing guides to efficiently cover vast mountain systems while leaving minimal impact on the land. Seasons run from early August through late September, with hunts lasting 12–13 days depending on rotation. Hunters can expect to glass significant numbers of rams daily, with a strong emphasis on age-class selection; the operation consistently targets older, fully mature rams well above regional age averages. Success rates typically range from 90–100%, with weather being the primary variable. Sheep hunting difficulty ranges from moderate-difficult to extreme, and clients should arrive in excellent physical condition.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunts are based out of remote fly-in basecamps, after which clients move into the field via horseback or backpack depending on the hunt style. Horseback camps feature spacious wall tents with wood stoves during colder seasons, while backpack hunters utilize high-quality, lightweight mountain tents—one tent per hunter unless otherwise requested. Meals are tailored to the hunt style, with fresh, cooked meals in horse camps and efficient freeze-dried meals while backpacking. Camps are designed for comfort, efficiency, and safety while maintaining a traditional wilderness atmosphere.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
All licenses are obtained over the counter, with hunters registering online prior to the season and the outfitter securing all necessary tags on their behalf. Each hunter is permitted one Dall sheep, with strict internal standards requiring full-curl or mature age-class rams. Wolves and wolverines are included at no additional charge where applicable, and additional species may be harvested based on trophy fees. Government harvest fees, association conservation fees, and air charter costs apply. The outfitter manages all permitting logistics to ensure a smooth, compliant process from arrival to export, allowing clients to focus solely on the hunt.
