ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter was born and raised in British Columbia and grew up in the outdoor life that country produces. The team's background runs through years of working hunting camps, wrangling stock, and guiding alongside other outfitters across both British Columbia and the Yukon. Mountain goat and coastal black bear are the hunts offered, two different pursuits in country that rewards knowing it well. They are mountain people by preference, comfortable pushing their own endurance and spending as much time studying how game behaves as they do hunting it. Outfitting is treated as a way of living rather than a job, and that shows in how hunts are run and in the pride taken in getting hunters into real wilderness.
HUNT DETAILS:
This is a vessel-based black bear hunt along the northern British Columbia coast, running out of Terrace and limited to groups of four. The boat serves as the base, moving between bays and inlets so hunters can work new country each day rather than covering the same ground. Bears are numerous in this region, and the hunting happens along shorelines and the edges of thick coastal forest, where bears come out to feed. Success rates are high as a result. Beyond the hunting, the trip is built to be enjoyable in its own right. Hunters can crab and shrimp, and whatever comes aboard gets prepared by the onboard chef the same day. Orcas, humpback whales, and sea lions are regular sights along the way. Natural hot springs along the coast are part of the itinerary, which is a rare way to end a hunting day. For hunters who want a bear without giving up comfort, this is a different kind of trip.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay aboard a sixty-eight foot barge that functions as a floating base camp. It carries four bathrooms, with several rooms offering ensuite facilities, along with a den, a library, and a sauna for unwinding once the day is done. The kitchen is well equipped and a chef handles the cooking, including whatever seafood the group pulls in. Evenings are spent around the firepit taking in the coastline. The whole setup is unusually comfortable for a hunt of this kind, and it takes only four guests at a time, so nobody is crowded and the boat never feels like a bunkhouse.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Everything is included in this hunt except the Goods and Service tax (5%)
