HUNT DETAILS:
This fully guided private ranch Aoudad hunt offers a unique opportunity to pursue Barbary sheep in the open country of Oregon, where their growing population has created excellent hunting success rates. Considered an invasive species in the region, these hunts provide hunters with frequent opportunities and fast-paced action once animals are located. The outfitter uses ATVs, UTVs, and trucks to access vantage points and cover country efficiently while glassing for herds throughout the day. Once a herd is spotted, hunters can typically expect a quick stalk and shot opportunity to follow. Because the terrain and hunting style can be adjusted to fit a wide range of physical abilities, this hunt is well suited for hunters of varying experience and fitness levels. One of the most unique aspects of this hunt is the opportunity to pursue an exotic species in a place many hunters would never expect to find them. Accommodations are flexible, allowing hunters to stay in the hotel, motel, or Airbnb of their choice while enjoying meals in town between hunts, as the relaxed schedule and all-day movement patterns of Aoudad provide plenty of flexibility.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Clients will be responsible for finding accommodations in Madras, and providing their own meals. The hunt is only a 20 minute drive from town, and the outfitter will provide pickup and drop off for the duration of your trip. The flexibility allows hunters to chose the exact lodging of their preference making this trip something you could do on a budget, or make into a full vacation stay.
