ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-endorsed outfitter offers fully guided big game hunts in Idaho’s Units 66 and 67, providing hunters with access to quality hunting opportunities for a wide variety of species in some of the state’s most rugged and scenic country. One of the biggest advantages of hunting with this outfitter is that all hunts include guaranteed allocated tags, allowing clients to avoid the uncertainty and frustration of today’s difficult draw systems. With extensive experience hunting these units, the outfitter provides professional guided hunts focused on quality experiences, hard hunting, and excellent opportunities. From high mountain wilderness to remote backcountry country, hunters can expect a true western hunting adventure with knowledgeable guides, well-planned camps, and access to productive areas throughout the season.

HUNT DETAILS:
This fully guided 5-day mountain lion hunt in eastern Idaho gives hunters the opportunity to pursue lions in the rugged country of Unit 66 with experienced guides and exceptional hounds. Each day begins well before daylight as the team heads into the field on snow machines to search for fresh tracks, then releases the dogs at first light once a track is found. The hunt unfolds according to snow conditions, terrain, and lion movement, which can be a physically demanding hunting experience as you chase lions through the backcountry. Most days return by early afternoon, though each hunt is shaped by the conditions and the track being pursued. Hunters may encounter close shots at treed lions, while some situations can allow for longer shooting opportunities depending on how the hunt develops, and archery hunters are welcome when guide instructions are followed closely during treed-lion setups.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Clients will either be in a hotel or cabin which is included in the trip price, meals will also be provided for clients as well. Breakfast is usually hot and quick so hunters can get into the field as soon as possible. Lunches are steaks or burgers cooked on a portable stove. At the end of each day the outfitter will typically take clients to a local restaurant and treat them to a nice local meal.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Idaho allocates permits through a random draw with no points system. Applications are due throughout the spring with exact deadlines dependent on species. Tags left over after the first drawing will go into a second drawing, which takes place in the summer. Huntin' Fool's License Application team will help you apply at the time of application. In some cases, outfitter allocated tags are provided by the outfitter if purchasing a hunt.
