ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-endorsed outfitter offers fully guided big game hunts in Idaho’s Units 66 and 67, providing hunters with access to quality hunting opportunities for a wide variety of species in some of the state’s most rugged and scenic country. One of the biggest advantages of hunting with this outfitter is that all hunts include guaranteed allocated tags, allowing clients to avoid the uncertainty and frustration of today’s difficult draw systems. With extensive experience hunting these units, the outfitter provides professional guided hunts focused on quality experiences, hard hunting, and excellent opportunities. From high mountain wilderness to remote backcountry country, hunters can expect a true western hunting adventure with knowledgeable guides, well-planned camps, and access to productive areas throughout the season.

HUNT DETAILS:
This fully guided spring black bear hunt takes place in Eastern Idaho’s Unit 66 on approximately 292,000 acres of national forest, with seasons starting in April and ending in June. Hunters can tailor the experience each day by choosing to spot and stalk, sit over bait, or pursue bears with hounds, making the hunt versatile for each clients hunting preference. A typical day starts around daylight with ATV access to check bait sites and assess activity, followed by the day’s hunting plan based on conditions and hunter goals. Mature bears are seen throughout the unit consistently, and this outfitter has a strong success rate of hunts ending in a harvest. This hunt is well suited for rifle hunters since archery is limited to baited setups only.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Clients will either be in a hotel or cabin which is included in the trip price, meals will also be provided for clients as well. Breakfast is usually hot and quick so hunters can get into the field as soon as possible. Lunches are steaks or burgers cooked on a portable stove. At the end of each day the outfitter will typically take clients to a local restaurant and treat them to a nice local meal.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Idaho allocates permits through a random draw with no points system. Applications are due throughout the spring with exact deadlines dependent on species. Tags left over after the first drawing will go into a second drawing, which takes place in the summer. Huntin' Fool's License Application team will help you apply at the time of application. In some cases, outfitter allocated tags are provided by the outfitter if purchasing a hunt.
