DESCRIPTION:

The quality of moose varies greatly throughout the expanse of Alaska. Hunters seeking better than average age class and genetics need to be with outfits that produce better than average results. Here we have an opportunity with an outfitter that operates remote fly-camps in one of the regions that routinely produces. With an average well above 60", the adventurous hunter has a real opportunity to find a quality bull in this big country.

Hunter will get themselves to Dillingham Alaska where the rest of the trip is handled. After a good nights rest in town, the outfits partner air transporter will take you to base camp where you can expect to be further transported to an even more remote spike camp. These camps are not over hunted with most only taking one group per season. Once on the ground in spike camp you can settle into your tent complete with cot and plenty of room to organize your gear. If its to cold you can kick on the heat and light a lantern for comfort. You should enjoy home cooked meals while in camp and the use of a private privy is always welcome! Hey, don't worry about your license and tag either, they will be waiting on you in camp and are included in the hunt price!

Hunters should expect to walk 2 miles a day in moderate terrain with multiple glassing stops. This is very big country and some vantage points allow guide and hunter to glass miles of country. When bulls start to cruise in September it is not unusual for them to cover several miles per day in search of cows. Be ready to make your move and intercept one of these big cruisers when he saunters into your area. Though somewhat physical, hunters of moderate fitness can enjoy this hunt.

This is brown bear country and it would be wise to put a tag in your pocket before heading to the field. With liberal bag limits, and no drawing required, a bonus brown bear is a real possibility on this trip.

A great camp, professional guides, and quality game makes this a great option for hunter looking for a good Alaska moose hunting experience.
