HUNT DETAILS:
The quality of moose varies significantly across Alaska, and hunters looking for exceptional genetics and mature bulls should choose an outfitter known for producing top-tier results. This opportunity offers access to remote fly-in camps in a region consistently yielding trophy-class moose. The area boasts a robust moose population, with bulls frequently exhibiting antler spreads averaging around 62 inches, and some exceeding 70 inches. The area's management practices and limited hunting pressure contribute to the presence of these large, mature bulls. The average for the outfitter is 63" to 64".
A well-run camp, expert guides, and outstanding game make this an excellent choice for hunters seeking a top-notch Alaska moose hunting experience.
Upon arrival in Anchorage, Alaska, you will be equipped with all the necessary gear for your adventure. From there, you'll take a flight to Dillingham, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay at one of the area's premier lodges. The following morning, a trusted charter partner will meet you on the runway and fly you into the main camp, before transporting you to your designated spike camp.
Your spike camp is well-appointed with spacious tents, cots, lanterns, kerosene heaters, a propane stove, and a comfortable dining setup featuring real home-cooked meals. Additional amenities include tables, chairs, a private pit-privy, emergency supplies, and a professional staff ensuring your comfort and safety.
This hunt spans 10 days or more, depending on the species pursued. Custom packages are available for those interested in multi-species hunts. Expect at least two travel days at both the beginning and end of your adventure.
The primary hunting method during this season is Spot-and-Stalk. Most days involve no more than two miles of walking, with a strong emphasis on glassing vast landscapes from strategic vantage points. Camp locations vary based on species and hunt dates.
After a successful harvest, all meat and trophies will be salvaged and handled in strict accordance with Alaska game laws. Our staff will flesh, turn, and salt your cape, while any meat is carefully hung in clean, dry bags to maintain its quality. Every effort is made to keep meat dry and free from contaminants. Your harvested game will then be flown back to Anchorage, where our expeditor will ensure proper preparation for tanning and final shipping arrangements.
This is brown bear country, so carrying a tag is recommended. With liberal bag limits and no drawing required, taking a bonus bear is a real possibility.
