High Success Private Land Montana Antelope Hunt

DESCRIPTION:

These archery hunts begin every year on August 15th. Great draw odds and affordable tags make this a very economic hunt for those looking to experience their first Western hunt or knock another animal off their buck list. The outfitter can accommodate a single hunter or groups of up to six, so you can come by yourself or bring the whole crew!

Archery:
You will be hunting out of pop up ground blinds unless they get a bunch of rain and sitting water is just not feasible. This will involve sitting for hours in a hot blind which is not the most physically challenging hunt but it will test your patience. You will be in the blind by yourself as and your guide will be in the immediate area checking on other hunters and scouting other locations to stay up to date on the most active locations in your area. Your guide will show you some photos of bucks that are in the area to give you an idea of what is around but ultimately which animal you harvest is completely up to you. Shot distance can range from 5 yards to over 50. Blinds are set up with average shots being 20-40 yard range. If you put the time in with your equipment to be confident out to 50 yards you will greatly increase your chances of killing a good buck. If we have to spot & stalk them due to weather conditions you will be looking at shots in the 50-70 yard range.

Rifle:
Their rifle hunts usually start the second Saturday in October. If you are seriously considering a Montana Antelope hunt then we recommend you plan a year or two ahead, rifle tags can be hard to draw. Their average bucks will have 13-14” horns and score 72-75” A really good buck for their area will have 15-16” horns and score 75-80”. This is a great hunt to experience Western hunting and come home with a trophy.

These private land hunts are based from a very clean wall-tent style camp. If hunting 1x1 you will have a tent to yourself or if coming with a partner you will be two in a tent. A fully shower house is provide as well.
