DESCRIPTION:

This Whitetail outfitter operates in Northeast Kansas and specializes in guided archery, rifle, and muzzleloader Whitetail Deer. All hunts are on private land, and are managed for mature, age-class bucks. This hunt requires that you draw a tag, and the units to apply for are UNIT 14 as the primary, and UNIT 10 as the secondary. Make sure and talk to your Hunt Advisor about properly applying for the unit(s), season(s), and weapon applicable to your preferences, and the outfitter's schedule and availability.

This outfitter strives to ensure a high quality hunt for each client taking low numbers of clients each year, low hunting pressure, and bucks being harvested at their prime age. There is a year round feeding program in place using multiple resources such as strategically placed food plots, as well as gravity feeders. Their properties are premium hunting areas that are strictly managed, and consistently produce upper-echelon bucks. Average bucks will score between 145" and 160", and the area produces bigger deer ranging between 160" to over 200". You can see these bucks in the trail-camera and trophy photos in this profile.

ARCHERY HUNTS: This is the hunt most clients request due to the Kansas rut taking place during this season. Hunting methods consist of tree-stands, ground blinds, and ladder-stands that are strategically placed throughout the properties in areas that have proven results in past seasons.

RIFLE HUNTS: Rifle hunts occur in December and are primarily when the bucks are in post-rut/recovery mode. They're moving less and trying to fatten up after chasing for weeks on end, and to prepare for the winter months. Expect colder temps, sitting over bigger areas and food plots. Longer shots can be taken in certain areas depending on hunter capabilities.

YOUTH RIFLE: This is a great opportunity for kids! Youth 17 and younger, who possess a valid deer permit, can hunt during this special deer season with an adult. This hunt is in September and is a 9-day season. The season dates are typically from the first Saturday of the month and they end the following Sunday.

MUZZLELOADER HUNTS: This hunt will occur primarily during the month of September. This can be a tougher time of year because it will be warmer than normal, bugs, and limited hunting time. This is however a great time of year to fit in another hunt, and a good time to catch a big buck that's pattern-able. The outfitter has a farm that is perfect for muzzleloader. In Kansas, a muzzleloader tag is also valid during the December rifle season, but a muzzleloader must be used. If the outfitter has availability, returning to hunt in December is an option for an additional charge of $1,000/day.

Accommodations consist of a comfortable bunkhouse provided by the outfitter, that comes with all the amenities of home. There are bedrooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen, as well as an outdoor hangout area with a nice fire pit and grill. Meals aren’t included on this hunt, but there is Walmart nearby to stock up on groceries and snacks, as well as nearby restaurants. The outfitter will assist you with all of this.
