DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter is a 3rd generation Alaskan and grew up living off the land and learned to hunt, fish, trap, as well as many other wilderness survival skills at a very young age. He possesses vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area and enjoys teaching others what he has learned from a lifetime of living in Alaska. he became a big game guide in 2004 and started his own guiding operation in 2015. He operates near the border of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve in the winter and spring, hunting bison, grizzly, and black bear . His fall hunts are conducted in the Brooks Range, north of the Arctic circle where we use horses to hunt Dall sheep, moose, and grizzly.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime drawing hunt that takes place on the East side of the Copper River on private land inside the Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve. Snowmobiles are used to access the area during February and March when the Bison come down from the mountains to feed along windblown bluffs near the river. This is not your typical ranch-style American Bison hunt. The Copper River Herd is a wild, free-range herd used to living in very rugged terrain.

Hunters need to be prepared for this hunt, with temperatures that can range from -20F to 40F. This rewarding adventure could produce the bull of a lifetime.
