HUNT DETAILS:
Wolf hunts offer a challenging and exciting adventure in the rugged country surrounding Idaho’s famous River of No Return. Conducted out of the outfitter’s remote homestead, these hunts use a combination of snowmobiles, four-wheel-drive vehicles, and hiking to cover large areas of wolf country and locate active packs. Hunters should be prepared for physically demanding conditions and long days in the field, as wolf hunting often requires persistence, mobility, and adaptability. The unpredictable nature of wolf behavior make every hunt unique, adding to the challenge and excitement of pursuing one of North America’s most elusive predators. After each day in the mountains, hunters return to the homestead for hot meals, warm showers, and comfortable accommodations before heading back out the next morning. These hunts have become very popular due to the combination of breathtaking scenery, true wilderness adventure, and the opportunity to hunt wolves in some of Idaho’s most remote country.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
All hunts include meals and lodging, with accommodations varying depending on the hunt. Some hunters will be based out of the homestead, while others may stay in a heated wall tent camp. Breakfasts and dinners are hot meals prepared by the outfitter, and lunches are packed to be eaten in the field during the day’s hunt. Cots are provided for sleeping, and on occasion, when game is located in more remote areas, mountain tents may be used to stay closer to the hunting grounds. Wall tent camps are equipped with heat and a solar shower, while the homestead offers the comforts and amenities of a well-equipped cabin in the Idaho wilderness.
