DESCRIPTION:

This HFA Endorsed Outfitters goal is to provide you with the best and most exciting hunting opportunities in central Wyoming. Whether you’re looking for Wyoming elk, mule deer, antelope, bighorn sheep, mountain lion, or gray wolf; they are ready to help you with your Wyoming hunt to you and your needs. They are dedicated hunters who are excited to be part of your Wyoming experience, building lasting friendships, and ultimately send you home with a memory of Wyoming that leaves you excited to come back.

They offer excellent opportunity for both rifle and archery elk hunters. They accommodate both town camps and remote backcountry elk hunts and has a history of 100% shot opportunity on 6x6 bulls scoring 300 plus with a few 350 plus bulls harvested every year.

Rifle hunters can hunt from town which entails early morning glassing for bulls and then pursuing elk that have been spotted from glassing points near roads. This is a great way to cover a lot of country and allows for hunters to look over a lot of elk. This spot and stalk style has been highly effective for hunters allowing for a high harvest rate of mature bulls. Outfitter will provide food in the field and typically the day ends at a local diner to share a meal and hopefully a good story.

Rifle hunters that prefer the early dates can also opt for the remote backcountry camp that will isolate them from the masses of hunters. Wall tents will be provided for these remote camps allow hunters to get the full Wyoming backcountry experience. This option is physically more demanding but can be very rewarding and allow for the full elk experience.

Archery hunting starts the first part of September and can be done from a town base camp or a remote camp. Typically, the bulls are bugling this time of year and ambushing elk using cow calls and bugles is a primary option. Lots of spot and stalk along with tree stands and blinds will be used. This can be an adrenaline filled experience for archery hunters. The area has a good population of elk giving archery hunters plenty of opportunity at mature bulls.

Spot and Stalk, setting up and calling: These hunts will be one hunter to one guide or two hunters to one guide. Hunts will be for a period of five days; extensions can be made at the request of the client if needed. The hunt will begin from daylight at the guide’s truck, glassing for prospective animals to stalk, and or using calls to locate animals. Targeted animals will be stalked on foot until within range, and then waited out for an ethical shot for harvest. Calling for animals will require stalking and setting up in favorable locations where the guide is set back calling and the client is positioned in a location that the animal may travel through in response to the call. Plenty of food and water will be brought into the field and kept in a cooler or brought in the hunting gear if extended periods in the field are anticipated.

Ground Blinds/Tree Stands: These hunts can be one hunter to one guide or two hunters to one guide. Arrangements can be made for hunters to have their own blind, or sit together if desired. If the latter is chosen, clients will be advised that success rate will be higher if hunting from separate blinds. Hunts from tree stands will only allow one hunter per stand at a time. Hunts of will be for a period of five days. Ground blinds and tree stands will be set on watering holes and travel corridors to comply with local laws and regulations. Access to the blind/tree stand locations will be by vehicle, ATV, or by foot prior to daylight. Clients will remain in the blind/tree stand and await animals to present an opportunity for an ethical shot for harvest. Plenty of food and water will be brought into the field with the clients hunting gear. The guide will have a communication plan to check with the hunter periodically through the day
