ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA Endorsed Outfitter was fortunate to have been born and raised in some of the best big game country in the West, and has spent his entire life in the mountains of Southern Utah hunting deer, elk, lions, bears, sheep and every other big game animal in the area. Their sound knowledge of both the habitat and the animals sets them apart from the rest, and their track record shows that they consistently kill, not just big, but the best trophies in each unit they guide. Because their focus is quality, not quantity, they are a small operation and promise a very personalized, high quality hunting experience. All their guides have a do-what-it-takes mentality, and will treat every hunt as if it were our own. They fully understand the importance of your hunt and will do everything in their power to ensure that you bring home your trophy-of-a-lifetime.

HUNT DETAILS:
These Utah black bear hunts offer hunters an exciting spring bear opportunity in the rugged mountains of southern Utah. Hunts are conducted using well trained hounds that locate, track, and tree bears, allowing hunters to carefully evaluate the animal before deciding whether to harvest. This style of hunting provides plenty of action and allows guides to cover large areas of bear country while targeting mature bears. Hunters should expect active days spent traveling mountain roads, following hounds, and hiking when necessary to reach treed bears. Tags for these hunts are obtained through Utah's draw system, making planning ahead important. With experienced guides, quality bear habitat, and the chance to pursue southern Utah black bears, these hunts provide a unique and memorable western predator hunting experience. These are guide only hunts so plan for meals and lodging ahead of time.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Depending on the unit you're hunting, lodging options vary. Because this is a guide only hunt, clients can chose the accommodations and meals of their choosing, making it a hunting trip that is tailored to each hunters specific preferences. The outfitter will help provide clients with local options and restaurant recommendations.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Utah has bonus and preference point systems for limited-entry species and general season deer. Bonus points increase draw chances, while preference points favor applicants with the most points. Group applicants’ points are averaged. Unsuccessful applicants get a point annually, and points are species-specific, non-transferable, and can be purchased. Black bear hunts are draws. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
