Huntin' Fool Showcase

December 2018
Story by Tony Aivazian
State: Arizona
Species: Deer - Mule

After a lot of hand signals and glassing, we finally had a deer bedded. The only problem was that all we could see was his face and neck. After about 20 minutes, the deer shook his head, exposing one side of his antlers. After positively identifying this deer as the same buck from the night before, I quickly steadied my rifle and took the shot, killing the buck right in his bed. At the sound of the shot, Dean and I could hear Cuco and Fritz from the ridgetop behind us, hooting and hollering.

We all basically got to the downed buck at the same time, and after handshakes and high fives, the real work began with breaking the buck down and getting it back to the truck. I would like to thank Dean for his sense of humor and professionalism and Fritz and Cuco for helping to keep eyes on this deer. This was truly a team effort from A3 Trophy Hunts to put this buck on the ground.
