What an amazing experience! I won the Axis deer hunt from Huntin’ Fool and didn’t really know what to expect. It was a hunt for two people, so I decided to take my dad since he was the one who got me into hunting in the first place. From the moment we arrived at the 5-star lodge, I knew it was going to be something special. Cody and John, the ranch guides, got us out into the action after we got a tour. Right off the bat, we were seeing exotics near their beautiful private lake. Within the first few hours, I was on a stalk after some giant Axis deer before I even knew what was going on. I wasn’t prepared, but John had me out in the mesquite thickets jumping huge Axis. We ended up having 72 hours of action-packed hunting and little sleep, but it was totally worth it.
My dad and I both eventually got gold medal bucks and memories that will last a lifetime. We also had the opportunity to take unlimited hogs, but I only got one since we were there for Axis and the bucks didn’t want to play along until the very end. This was a true hunting experience, and we were all tired by the end.
I can’t say thank you enough to Cody and John for all the work they put into making our hunt successful. Kyle is a heck of a cook, too, and made sure we were fueled up. Everyone should be buying entries from Huntin’ Fool. I’m proof that regular people win! Not everyone will win, but someone will, and that someone could be you next time. According to all the “Unsuccessful” emails I’ve received from multiple states’ draws, your odds are probably better with Huntin’ Fool!
