It’s that moment you’ve all been waiting for! Alright, it isn’t draw result time, but it is time to announce the prizes for the 2023 Story Contest. We highly value the content you provide us with stories and photos. It enriches the pages of our magazine and creates bonds within the HF community. We’re so excited about the prizes we’re offering this year. You’ll see some familiar ones along with some really exciting new prizes. To try to get your hands on these awesome items, all you have to do is send us your 2022 harvest photos and stories!
COVER STORY CONTEST
For 2023, Weatherby will continue to sponsor our Cover Story Contest. The 12 stories that are selected as covers will receive a Weatherby Backcountry 2.0 rifle (standard steel action with thin fluted barrel). The retail value of this prize is $2,499. On top of that, the Cover Story winners receive 20 copies of the magazine they are featured in.
STORY PACKAGES
Every story that is printed in our magazine in 2023 will receive a story package. These packages are valued at over $200 and include HF swag and some great items from a few of our advertising partners. Items in this year’s package include Marsupial Gear meat tarps, a MTN OPS Ignite sampler, Koola Buck Anti-Microbial game bags, a MagView bino adapter, Huntin’ Fool dry bags, a Huntin’ Fool hat, and four free copies of the magazine.
TROPHY ROOM PHOTO CONTEST
Garmin is continuing their sponsorship of our Trophy Room Photo Contest, and each month, the winner will receive a $300 Garmin gift card. These winners are selected based on the quality and composition of their photo
STORY SUBMISSIONS
A prize just for sending in your story? Yep! We will send you a new Huntin’ Fool decal when you send us your story and photos. You take the time to share your story and you walk away with a little Huntin’ Fool swag.
WAYS TO SUBMIT
There are two ways to submit your stories and photos. The preferred method is via our website at www.huntinfool.com/submission. Fill in your information, upload your files, and you’re all set! We will then send you an email confirmation that we received your submission. Don’t forget to include your outfitter’s name (if you hunted with one) and to label your photos so we know who to include in the photo captions.
The second option for submitting is to email your stories and photos to submit@huntinfool.com. Within the body of the email, please include the following information about your hunt: state, species, unit, weapon, and outfitter (if applicable). Again, you will receive a confirmation reply that we received your submission.
We hope that you’ll take the time to share your successes with us. This grows our community and connects us as we build and share memories. We’ll be watching for your submissions. We’re ready to hand out some awesome prizes in 2023!
