The Kaitum GT is an adaptable all-season tunnel tent that is an excellent choice for any hunt. Thanks to its exceptionally strong, yet very light Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and light and strong 9 mm poles, the two-entrance Kaitum GT does an impressive job of balancing light weight, comfort and high strength and will handle challenging weather in any season. Vertical inner tent doors and near-vertical side walls offer outstanding usable space and length, perfect for taller hunters or those who just want room to stretch out. The Kaitum 2 GT is roomy for two, and for those looking for even more comfort with surprisingly little additional weight, they can opt for the three-person Kaitum 3 GT, just as three can size up to the Kaitum 4 GT for extra space at a similarly small relative weight increase.

“This spring bear season, I had the opportunity to test out the Hilleberg Kaitum 2 GT. This is one of their red label two-person tents. It is a free- standing design that is very easy to set up and weighs in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. This tent has two entrances and vestibules. I really like the extended vestibule that comes on the GT model as there is enough room to have all my gear in the tent but not in the sleeping area. Another cool feature was that I was able to open the door and glass from the extended vestibule during poor weather.

When I think of bomb-proof tents, I always think of Hilleberg. I have owned several models of their tents over the last 15 years and have used them all across the West and up into Canada and Alaska. The only issue I ever had with one of my tents was when a pack horse got loose and decided to run through it. The tent was sent back to the customer service at Hilleberg and was fixed into like new condition. The customer service department was great to work with, and they had my tent back to me very quickly.” – Robert Hanneman, Hunt Advisor
