Growing up in the woods of Southern Alabama, my dad taught me to love the outdoors. On the weekends, he took me to the river to catch crawfish and baby turtles, and when the leaves began to change, he took me deer hunting in the local woods. By age 8, I had killed my first deer, a 7-point buck, and a life of outdoor adventure began.

By high school, I had a local reputation for spending too much time in the woods. The other girls in my class didn’t hunt or fish, so I spent my weekends with my dad. During the summer, when I was about 15, we were invited by a friend to try noodling. It is the sport of catching catfish with your bare hands, and we were immediately hooked. A few summers later, when I was in college, I bought a cheap video camera and set it up at the front of our boat. It immediately fell in the water, but we eventually got a video of me grabbing a catfish. On a whim, I posted the video to Instagram where it was reshared to Facebook and viewed 25 million times.

In college, I was majoring in business and trying to figure out what to do with my life. When my social media began blowing up, I switched my major to broadcast journalism because I thought it would help me learn to talk in front of the camera. It didn’t work, but my social media kept growing. I think people liked that I wasn’t an “influencer.” With or without social media, my life would be the same. Being outdoors keeps me sane and helps me spend time with my family. From killing game to cooking the meat, it’s something we do together.

Something you should know about my dad is that he does not stand still. When he isn’t hunting or fishing, he is building stuff. He is an old-school carpenter who built my childhood home completely by hand. He is currently building me a house and constructs furniture in his spare time, so when he tore a tendon in his bicep during the pandemic, you can imagine what kind of patient he was. He was restless and tried everything to heal faster post- surgery. Some folks recommended he try CBD, so I picked him up a CBD balm from a convenience store and it helped with his pain! CBD quickly became a part of our daily routine. During hunting season, we reached for CBD more than ever. I have trouble sleeping, especially on the road, and my dad gets shoulder pain and achy muscles during long hunting trips.

In 2023, my dad and I launched our first company, Barron’s CBD. It’s CBD made for hunters, outdoorsmen, and people who get torn up from work. From building houses to hunting deer, it’s meant to make life a bit easier. Building a company with my dad has been an exciting experience. Starting a business has always been a personal goal. From designing the logo and products to learning about how to get Barron’s CBD into more people’s hands, there is so much to do and learn about. Barron’s CBD feels like a way to connect with people who are just like me. We are excited and grateful to be a part of people’s daily routines.

CBD can be a powerful tool to get the most out of your hunting trips. We know that hunting can really take a toll on your body. That’s why we created the CBD Recovery Balm. It is built

to ease sore muscles and joints so there is less pain and discomfort holding you back from getting an animal on the ground.

The CBD Recovery Balm has been a great addition to Jeff’s daily routine. He is just about always hurtin’ all over, whether it be his back, his neck, or his shoulders, and CBD helps keep him going.

Our Sleep CBD Gummies were created so you can get the most out of your sleep, making sure you wake up energized on those early mornings. Whether you’re on a once-in-a-lifetime hunt or getting through a tough day of work, it sure helps to be well rested. Barron’s CBD helps keep you going.

I feel so lucky to include my family in everything that I do. From social media to business, my family is the most important thing in my life. I want to communicate that through everything that I do. I hope to encourage young girls to get outside with their dads and brothers. The messages I get from men with young daughters inspires me to keep putting myself out there. It makes everything worth it. To any men out there, invite your daughters hunting! I am a proud example that women can thrive in outdoor sports.
