ABOUT OUTFITTER:
Founded in 2014, this HFA Endorsed Outfitter is a small, family run big game outfitter located outside of Grand Junction, Colorado. Their passion for what they do is as large as the mountains they do it in. Being fortunate enough to live close to the Utah / Colorado border, they have obtained license in both states. They are in the woods year-round, constantly learning about the species they hunt and the country they hunt them in. Their number one focus is to provide each client with a high quality hunt. They are not a large operation and only work with a small handful of guides. All the guides in their camps are men they know very well and have worked with in the past or came highly recommended by others in the industry. Each and every one of them is very professional and contributes a major role in the success of their hunts. They take a great deal of pride in the hunts they guide and put a ton of personal time in the off season scouting and preparing for season. Rest assured you are in great hands any time you step into the field with one of their guides.

HUNT DETAILS:
The La Sal Mountains are located east of the town of Moab, Utah on the Utah/Colorado state line.
The La-Sal is a high alpine mountain with elk in the upper basin of nearly 11,000 ft and roaming all the way to the desert floor as low as 5,000’. No matter what season you draw a tag for, this will be an exciting hunt. We will use trucks and Utv’s for transportation on this hunt. We also have an option to use horses and mules to get into the more remote parts of the unit. This unit is currently managed for 5-6 year old bulls, clients can expect to chase bulls in the 300-340? range with slight opportunities for better. On this hunt we work closely with our friends at Utah big game outfitters to offer you an exceptional hunting experience.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
You can choose from either guide only packages or fully furnished where we also provide the meals and lodging. We have a nice private hunting cabin that we base our hunts out of and gives you all the luxuries needed for a comfortable week of hunting.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Utah has bonus and preference point systems for limited-entry species and general season deer. Bonus points increase draw chances, while preference points favor applicants with the most points. Group applicants’ points are averaged. Unsuccessful applicants get a point annually, and points are species-specific, non-transferable, and can be purchased. Huntin’ Fool’s License Application team will help you apply at the time of application.
