Along side his wife who grew up on a cattle farm outside Fort St. John, where she developed a strong work ethic and a passion for animals. She pursued a career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She continues to apply her skills to the horses they raise for sale and their mountain horse string. For six years, This duo operated a successful Mule deer, whitetail, and elk outfitting business in southern Alberta. HUNT DETAILS:
Your outfitter will assist you so that you are prepared to get through Candian Customs and board a charter flight from Juneau Alaska straight into base camp where you begin your quest for Mountain Caribou. With pack strings of horses raised from excellent stock, you will venture into the Canadian backcountry stopping at a mountain cabin or camp to settle in for the hunt. Spend days riding, hiking, and glassing for mature bulls while enjoying the landscape of northern BC. The outfitter cut his teeth guiding in this concession and purchased the concession from his father after successfully guiding other parts of British Columbia. This is a family run business and you will see the pride they put into providing high quality backcountry hunts. There is a high likelihood you will encounter additional species on this hunt and prior coordination with the outfitter will allow you to harvest them on a trophy fee. A 12 day hunt in northern BC is sure to be a memory maker.

This area has a resident Caribou population and does not rely on pursuing a migrating herd. The outfitter hunts on several large plateaus from mid August through October and they offer both horseback and fly-in backpack hunts for caribou.

Don’t forget your fishing pole—the freshwater fishing in this region is outstanding.
