ASIAN ELK (MARAL STAG):

Calling or bugling in a mature elk is an amazing experience! On this hunt it is not uncommon to hear multiple bulls calling at the same time. Horses are used intensively to increase success chances. Expect extensive horseback riding 8-10 hours a day and possibly some considerable walking. Some riding experience is a plus. Bulls are generally located on open slopes of mountains at 8,000-8,500 feet. Once the trophy is spotted, you complete your stalk on foot. The prime hunting time is in the morning and in the evening

TRAVEL:
US citizens do not require a visa for travel to Kazakhstan under 90 days duration. The outfitter has their staff that will meet you at the VIP customs lounge in the airport in Almaty. It is strongly suggested that you book your travels through a licensed travel agency that's experienced in international travel with firearms. HFA has great contacts to assist you with this. Turkish Airlines is the only recommended airline as well.. Hunters may bring up to 60 rounds of ammunition.
