DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter offers a quality, fully guided experience. They've been hunting in Southern Utah their entire lives and they know the country like very well. This outfitter specializes in mule deer, trophy elk, mountain lion, bear and antelope. This particular hunt is for elk, which they love to do. This outfitter does not shy away from the hard work it takes to find trophy class animals for their clients, and they always go the extra mile to meet their hunters’ expectations.

They have the necessary equipment and knowledge to navigate the areas you will be hunting, and they have a deep understanding of the local terrain, wildlife, along with the hunting regulations. They can help you plan a successful hunt and increase your chances of harvesting a mature buck. Hunting can be a complex and time-consuming process, but an experienced outfitter like this one can handle many of the logistics for you, such as securing permits, arranging transportation, and setting up camp. This allows you to focus on the hunt and enjoy the experience.

They hunt both public and private lands, and they have access to private areas that allows exclusive access where the general public isn't allowed. Although hunting on private lands isn't necessary, hunting with this outfitter can provide you with opportunities to hunt in these areas and pursue game that you might not be able to hunt otherwise. The units that they offer their guided hunts for elk are listed in this profile.

Utah is known for its diverse landscapes, including cedar forests, sage flats, and snow-covered mountains, which provide a unique and challenging environment for mountain lion hunting. These habitats offer a range of opportunities for hunters, including the chance to pursue mountain lions in different terrains and elevations. Hunting mountain lions in Utah can be particularly challenging, depending on where you're hunting them. There are areas that provides dense cover and an ideal habitat for the cats, and they take full advantage of it. Nothing that the dogs can't handle though. On the other hand, hunting on sage flats and dry ground offers more open country, which there is a good mix of it all. Depending on the time of year, the snow-covered mountains provide a unique hunting experience as well.

The hunting season for Elk begins in August for the archery hunts and then carries through November for the muzzleloader and rifle hunts. Hunters must possess a valid hunting license and apply through the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources application process to draw the necessary tag. The application period opens in March and closes in April each year. The drawing period is in May.
