This outfitter operates in the serene inside passage waters in Southeast Alaska. They have a variety of adventures that they offer ranging from saltwater fishing for all five species of pacific salmon, halibut, and a multitude of bottom fish, to freshwater fishing for salmon, trout, and steelhead. They also have fully guided Big Game Hunts for Coastal Black Bears, Mountain Goats, and Sitka Blacktail Deer, as well as Waterfowl Hunting.

All of the lodging is in town before and after the hunt in their two bedroom apartment, which is included. Hunts are five hunting days and sometimes they get 5 1/2 if they get a little in on the travel to field day. Remember that you’re in town for about 8 days and weather plays a huge factor into where and when they get to certain places. Camp is in the field and it’s wall tents and/or boat based depending on what the outfitter wants to do, the weather, and the game. The best dates are October 24 through November 15 which are rut hunts, and they access everything by way of old logging roads, and hiking from the beach into timbered areas, clearcuts, muskegs, etc.

The rainforest of Southeast Alaska offers superb hunting for Sitka Blacktail Deer. They have early season hunts which take place above the tree line in the high alpine country, as well as late season hunts in both the timber and muskegs. Most hunts are fly outs and takes place in multiple different locations and islands nearby. August and September alpine hunts offer the chance for good weather, with bucks feeding in the lush vegetation offered at this time of the year. The rut picks up later in the year and hunting in November for rutting bucks is about as good as it gets!

There's a 2-deer limit per hunter, and the pricing of this hunt includes harvesting both. Some bucks may still have velvet on the antlers and sleeker reddish colored summer coats during the earlier months. Late October and November presents their bucks looking their best with heavy winter coats, thick necks, and polished antlers. During this time they will hunt lower elevations and use calls as the deer are in the rut.

Accommodations at their Bed & Breakfast one day/night before and after the hunt are provided/included in the price. It is a quaint and private unit comfortably housing up to six people. Clients arrive and stay in the outfitter's B&B the first night, and then typically head out the following day by boat to the hunting areas. While hunting, hunters may stay in tents / walls tents, the boat, or other accommodations arranged by the outfitter. It all depends on where the outfitter decides to hunt. Regardless, no matter where you are hunting, you will be fed well, and you will be warm and comfortable at camp.

All deer hunts offer the opportunity to combine fresh or saltwater fishing, Black bear, and waterfowl if you wish to extend your visit. Staying at their bed and breakfast for an extended stay after the hunt is something that should be considered. Their Bed & Breakfast is a private 2 bedroom unit with a living area, full kitchen, and a bath. For the bedrooms, the 1st bedroom has a double bed and a single, 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds. The living area has a couch, tv, DVD player, table, chairs, and Internet accessibility. They can sleep up to six comfortably. Every morning fresh muffins, fruit, cereal, and juice are served. If you prefer a hot breakfast your refrigerator is stocked with eggs, bacon, and different kinds of bread for toast. And of course, there is always coffee!

Whether you are planning to visit by cruise ship, Alaska Airlines, or the Alaska Marine Highway… this outfitter has the adventure and accommodations that will surpass all of your expectations.
