DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter has been in operation since 2010, offering hunts in one of the best areas that Alaska has to offer. Some areas that he operates in requires drawing a permit/tag for specific species. Unit 13E and 14B in Alaska is indeed renowned for its high-quality moose hunting, attracting hunters from around the world eager to pursue these iconic animals. To hunt moose with this outfitter you can do so one of two ways. You can either draw unit 13E and hunt the unit, as well as all of the surrounding units that are non-draw units, or you can purchase an over-the-counter tag for unit 14B, but you would not be able to hunt the draw unit (13E) as it is a draw only area. Both hunts are based out of the outfitter's cabin and lodge area, and then depending on the hunt, spike camps would be established within a short 10-15 minute super cup flight from the cabins/lodge.

It's located in a remote wilderness area, offering hunters a true backcountry experience, with the option of hunting from the lodge, cabins, and or mountain tents. The vast expanses of untouched wilderness provide above average opportunities for trophy class animals. The terrain is varied, ranging from dense forests to alpine tundra and steep mountains. The area is known for its relatively high success rates for hunters. The abundance of game combined with proper planning and skillful hunting techniques increases the likelihood of a successful hunt, and this outfitter has that nailed down.

For the draw hunts in unit 13E, this is a very easy hunt. This is an opportunity to harvest a trophy bull moose on foot, or out of a boat. It is not uncommon for hunters to harvest their moose in the actual water. There are lakes scattered throughout the unit and the outfitter is equipped with boats for hunting use. They offer a maximum of 4 hunts a year for this option. It is also suggested that when applying for moose in Unit 13E, that you also apply for Caribou in Unit 14B. If you successfully draw a caribou permit, the outfitter offers this species at no additional charge so long as you book the combo hunt.

For Over-the-counter tag moose hunts, these opportunities take place above tree-line in unit 14B. The outfitter and guides know where all of the look-out's are located and are very familiar with where the bulls like to hang/hide out. They're also familiar with all of the lakes that the bulls tend to frequent most. They offer a maximum of 6 hunts a year for this option.

The area is known for offering excellent moose hunting opportunities. Moose are abundant in this region, and it is considered one of the prime areas in the state. Moose densities in this area can be significant, and he habitat is well-suited for moose, consisting of dense forests, marshes, and open areas, which provide ample food and cover for these animals. Moose are often found near lakes, rivers and streams, particularly during the rutting season. The outfitter employs various hunting methods to pursue moose, including spot-and-stalk, calling, and still-hunting. The diverse terrain allows hunters to adapt their tactics based on the conditions and preferences. It boasts a rich diversity of game species, including moose, caribou, dall sheep, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, and wolverines. This abundance of wildlife provides hunters with ample opportunities to pursue different species according to their preferences and hunting goals. The outfitter offers a single species moose hunting option, as well as a combo hunt including moose, grizzly, black bear, wolf, and wolverine. Most hunters take advantage of this opportunity as the price is too good to pass up.

This area offers breathtaking scenic beauty, with stunning vistas of snow-capped mountains, pristine rivers, and expansive valleys. Overall, the combination of abundant wildlife, remote wilderness, challenging terrain, high success rates, scenic beauty, and cultural experience makes hunting in this area of Alaska an amazing and unforgettable adventure for hunters.
