DESCRIPTION:

This outfitter has a unique opportunity with exclusive access to his hunting grounds on the Alaska Peninsula. Bears are often found a short distance from the cabin where the guide and hunter can observe the bears from the boat or shore with less effort than most hunts in this region making it a good fit for a wide range of physical abilities. Being that his is a cabin-based hunt, hunters can exptect to sleep in a warm and dry environment for the duration of their 13 day adventure. Hunters generally see bears in the 8-10ft range with a 75% oportunity for harvest. With the guide only taking one bear hunter each spring and fall hunters have time to enjoy the hunt. Wolf and wolverine are a posibility with a $1000 trophy for each. Hunters will pay an additional $1000 to offset a portion of the air charter fees associated with the hunt.

The outfitter preferes his guest hunters use a firearm on this hunt but will consider an archery hunter with some discussion prior to the hunt.

Fall hunts are available on odd numbered years and spring hunts are availble on even numbered years in GMU 9.
