For this Mule Deer hunt option, the New Mexico application period typically opens in January of each year and the deadline is in March. The unit that this outfitter hunts is the size of Delaware and their success rate is around 70%. Depending on the weather this can be a tough hunt and mature bucks can be hard to locate at times. With that said their guides know this area well and have continuously produced! They target bucks over 150" on this hunt, and they shoot 170"+ deer every year. For the money it's definitely the best bang for your buck on harvesting 170"+ mule deer.

They also offer mule deer hunts with guaranteed tags on private land. They have large ranches that provide opportunities at hunting bucks scoring in the 160"+ range and their priced accordingly. Some of their ranches span into West Texas as well. In some areas they focus on the next step up, harvesting bucks in the 170" range. The largest deer taken to date scored 196".
