HUNT DETAILS:
New Mexico is home to many exotic creature, such as Oryx, Ibex and Barbary Sheep (Aoudad).Ibex have primarily taken up residence in the Florida Mountains of Unit 25. This unit is where the bulk of Ibex hunting is done, as it does have the most dense population, and highest trophy potential. These hunts are done through a draw system and can be extremely hard to obtain. There are over the counter tags available for statewide hunts outside of unit 25, however the success rate on those hunts is rather low.
This outfitter offers guided hunts in Unit 25 where they have been guiding Ibex for years. They have seen some excellent production for their clients with some truly impressive Ibex having been taken. These hunts are guide only, but do come with an extra spotter to help along the way. These can be physically challenging hunts, as Ibex tend to stay in high, rocky cliffs, making them very difficult to get to in order to make your shot.
Ibex is one of themes sought after game species in the world, and hunting opportunities are limited, especially in the United States where the species population is extremely low. The Florida Mountains are the best area in the country to harvest the animal on public land.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
This is a guided only hunt! You may stay at a hotel in Demming, or camp.
LICENSE INFORMATION:
Tags are available through state draw system with the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. Draw is conducted on a random basis with no points system. Huntin' Fool License Application Team will help you apply at the time of application.
