ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA endorsed outfitter is a family-run British Columbia outfitting operation guiding on the eastern slope of the Rockies since 2003. The business began operating Folding Mountain in 2013 and later added the Stone Mountain area, combining two established northern BC guide territories. Hunts originate from the Toad River lodge in the middle of the concession, with horses raised for the operation and year-round predator management supporting the area. The territory includes both summer and winter range, so game remains in the country throughout the year rather than migrating out. The focus is on quality mountain hunting in country the team knows intimately through all seasons.

HUNT DETAILS:
This mountain goat hunt takes place in rugged Northern British Columbia goat country, with access beginning by horseback as far as terrain allows before continuing on foot into steep alpine basins and cliffs where billies are commonly found. Hunters can expect an active, physical experience that may include spiking out in remote valleys to stay close to quality goat habitat and improve next-day opportunities. The area holds a strong population of mountain goats, and this hunt is offered for billies only, with both rifle and bow hunters having solid opportunity. Goats in the area typically average 8 to 9.5 inches, with 10-inch goats taken every year, making this a true mountain adventure built around classic spot-and-stalk hunting in wild goat country.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations on the mountain goat hunt vary with the style and location of the hunt and may include comfortable cabins, wall tents, or backpack-style spike camps in the backcountry. Main and remote camps are set up to provide a practical and comfortable base camp, with wood heat and hearty home cooked meals, while spike camps are used when needing to stay close to active goat areas. Spike camp meals usually consist of freeze dried meals. Hunters should expect a more mobile setup on this hunt, especially when conditions call for staying overnight near the mountains being hunted.

LICENSE INFORMATION:
Licenses are guaranteed for all game with no draw necessary. The outfitter will purchase the license and tags on clients behalf.
