This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is has elk hunts that are guaranteed tags and no draw required. This is a Northeast New Mexico private land only hunt that takes place in units 42 and 46. They have exclusive hunting rights to working cattle ranches that are managed for long term quality, and every year 3 to 4 bulls are taken that score in the 320 to 350 range. If ever there was a physically easy elk hunt, this is it!. This hunt takes place in very mild terrain, with the total elevation gain of seldom over 200' across any particular ranch. Clients will be hunting mature bulls in the 280" to 300”+ class, with a realistic chance of taking a bull in the 320-350 class.
Additionally, the farm lands/alfalfa fields draws game from the surrounding hills and other ranches into the the areas you'll be hunting. Hunts begin before light with a hike to a point overlooking these feeding areas. With a long running phenomenal track record hunting elk in this area, the opportunity rate has been a consistent 95%!
Hunters can pick any 5 days from October 1st to December 31st that coincides with the outfitters schedule. The hunt includes a private landowner tag, meals, guiding, and lodging. Hunters arrive the day before their hunt and depart the day after their hunt. The outfitter will get the animal field dressed and to a locker for them.
Lodging is a local motel, nothing fancy. Meals will be at local restaurants, grocery stores, and/or fast food establishments.
