Rifle Elk hunting is as good as it gets here. Offered in three different locations from the outfitter and tailored to you. Whether you want a high alpine style rifle elk hunt chasing bugling bulls through the aspen covered meadows or down in the foothills sneaking up on bulls in the pinions and finally in the plains of Colorado hunting the elusive bulls that wander the prairies they have the hunt to fit your needs. The high mountain hunts take place at 10,000 feet in elevation and the foothills hunts are at 7,500 feet in elevation, their plains hunts average 4,500 feet in elevation. All Rifle elk hunts are hunted in a spot and stalk method utilizing high vantage points to glass bulls from afar then move in for a shot. All Rifle elk hunts are always 5 days in length and are 1 on 1 guided. On their rifle elk hunts hunters may not see elk everyday, this time of year the elk are constantly on the move seeking out the last remaining good forage before things dry up. The name of the game is to stay mobile and cover as much country as possible as efficiently as possible. Bulls will be observed in both locations from 300-350+ with most hunters taking home a 300-330 bull on average. In their mountain area they hunt 2,000 acres of private and have exclusive permitting to over 60,000 acres of public land landlocked behind the ranch. In their foothills location they hunt 15,000+ acres of private land exclusively leased. In their plains location they hunt 14,000 acres of private land exclusively leased.
