HUNT DETAILS:
The Alaska-Yukon moose is the largest species of deer in the world, making it a highly sought-after trophy for hunters. This outfitter operates in an expansive and diverse hunting area that includes mountains, swampy flats, tundra, river valleys, and coastal regions. To effectively cover such vast terrain, they utilize floatplanes, wheel planes, jet boats, and rafts. Their hunts combine spot-and-stalk techniques with calling, which is especially effective during the September rut when bulls can be lured into archery range. The average bull taken measures an impressive 62 inches, with some reaching between 67 and 73 inches each year, offering hunters a true Alaskan adventure.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
For most of these hunts, you will experience comfortable mountain style tent camping while enjoying a mix of freeze-dried meals and minimal fresh foods flown in at the start of your hunt. Camps are designed to provide a dry and efficient base for your Alaskan adventure, ensuring you have the energy and comfort needed to focus on the hunt. Though the setup is simple, it offers all the essentials for a successful and memorable experience in the wilderness. With careful planning and preparation, they ensure your camp meets your needs, combining practicality and comfort to enhance your overall enjoyment of this once-in-a-lifetime outdoor adventure.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Over-the-counter harvest tickets are available for most areas. Your license and tags can be purchased online through the ADFG website at least a month in advance.
