ABOUT OUTFITTER:
This HFA-Endorsed Outfitter has been guiding since 2006, building a reputation with hunters from across North America over that span. All of the hunting is in Wyoming, and the species list is long, covering elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, Shiras moose, mountain lion, black bear, Merriam turkey, and prairie dogs. That range means the guides work everything from open plains to mountain country, and they know both well. Beyond the field, the team helps hunters sort out big game draw questions and get ready before they ever arrive, which takes a good deal of guesswork out of planning a trip. The emphasis throughout is on a well-run hunt and a mature animal at the end of it.

HUNT DETAILS:
This hunt takes place on a seven thousand acre private ranch that borders landlocked public land, which means the elk using it see almost no outside pressure. The outfitter books only a few hunters each week, keeping the ranch quiet and the hunting consistent rather than running as many clients through as the calendar allows. Elk live on the property year round instead of passing through, so the herd is not dependent on animals migrating in. Bulls tend to gather in bachelor groups, and locating those groups is where most of the effort goes before a plan comes together for a specific bull. Bull quality is the headline here, with bulls averaging three hundred to three hundred twenty inches and better, and some pushing past three hundred fifty. Every hunt is fully guided, with two hunters to a guide. Success has been extremely high, and shot opportunity has held at one hundred percent, which is about as strong a track record as a private ranch hunt can show.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Hunters stay in a rustic cabin on the ranch itself, so there is no drive in and out each morning and the hunting starts right outside the door. Lodging and all meals are covered for the length of the hunt, which means nothing to book, buy, or coordinate once a hunter arrives. The cabin is a working base rather than a resort, and hunters should expect a straightforward place to sleep, eat, and dry out gear at the end of the day rather than lodge amenities.

Tags for this hunt are available only through the draw. Huntin' Fool's Application Service can assist with completing and submitting your draw application.
