DESCRIPTION:

This family run operation has been in business since 1917, which was when the ranch was homesteaded. This outfitter offers trophy mule deer hunts on their family owned and operated private ranch. Their ranch is comprised of approximately 20,000 acres of prime antelope habitat that gets little to no pressure throughout the entire year. The outfitter currently offers hunts for both mule deer and antelope, and as you will see in the pricing, for select time slots, they offer a combo hunt. One important part of this hunt that the outfitter asked that we address, is that every hunt matters to them! They're a small, quality operation, and they want all of their clients to have the best experience possible.

They hunt out of a rustic homestead ranch house, that includes old-school wood stoves and hot showers, with a kitchen and common area for hanging out and eating. There is no electricity, and the out-house serves the needs of plumbing. They have been offering these limited hunt options since 2003, and have been 100% successful during that time period.

The area features rolling hills and valleys, which are typical of the landscape in this part of Wyoming. These hills provide scenic vistas and pastoral settings, making the region attractive for ranching and agriculture. The elevation is approximately 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) above sea level. As you move closer to the Bighorn Mountains, the elevation increases significantly, offering cooler temperatures. The combination of hills and open plains makes it suitable for ranching and agriculture. You may see cattle ranches, farms, and fields in the vicinity as well.

Bucks harvested in past seasons have ranged from 13" and 15 1/2" long, with some good heavy bucks being taken every year. Below are the approximate application dates. Please talk to an HFA advisor for more information on acquiring a tag to take advantage of this opportunity.
