DESCRIPTION:

This is a family run operation, and all of their guides are all licensed trained professionals. They are protected wilderness areas located in Idaho. At 2.3 million acres, it is the largest contiguous area of protected wilderness in the continental United States. Together with the adjacent and surrounding unprotected roadless Forest Service land, it is the core of a 3.3 million acre roadless area. This outfitter is permitted to operate in all of their areas. They are a full service outfitter that offers guided and unguided/drop-camp trips for Elk and Deer, and they also offer guided trips for Sheep, Black bear, Mtn. Lion, and Fishing.

The fires in the past years have burned many acres and created excellent elk & deer habitat, and they are in a joint party agreement in the area to provide lodging services during some of their spring bear and fall hunts. The Elk season begins in September and runs through October. Deer season begins in September and runs through November.

In November the outfit hunt in 3 different migration areas.

Camp 1- This is an end of the road camp. This camp has Wi-Fi & a hot tub. This camp there are a fair amount of whitetail deer as well. Whitetail bucks are 130-180, Mule deer is 140-170 with the occasional 180-200 inch

Camp 2- This is a pack in camp, this camp is another migration area and will see different bucks everyday. Mule Deer 140-170 with the occasional 180-200 inch

Camp 3- This camp will jet boat down river and then horse and mule ride up to camp. With this camp there is an additional $500 fee per person for the Jet boat.

Your daily hunt will be riding out of camp in the early morning, getting to a high place to glass. You will be glassing for bucks all day, spot and stalk style hunting, you will see lots of different deer throughout the week. All camps are wall tents, some camps have cooked meals and others have frozen seal-a-meals that have been prepared by a cook.

Drop camps will not have any horses in camp. Camp locations vary from roadside base camps along a remote road, to a 3-7 hour ride-in on horseback to their pack-in camps. Horses and mules are not always left in camp. Wilderness hunts are physical and they will hunt you to the best of your ability.


What about the food? Food is all pre-made, vacuum sealed and frozen. On occasion they do use Mountain House. Drop camps must bring their own food and be able to fit in 2 coolers ONLY. These coolers must NOT have wheels on them. No larger than 100 qt.
