This outfitter was originally founded back in the 60’s when the hunting areas were formed in British Columbia. The current owner worked for the original outfitter and built a lasting friendship with one another until it was time for the original outfitter to retire, and that when he sold the area to the current outfitter. This Outfitter takes some phenomenal Stone Sheep year in and year out. Their photos speak for themselves. This outfitter comes highly recommended if you have a Stone Sheep on the hit-list. They have high success ratios and a lot of opportunities. They guarantee an opportunity at a legal ram (*Make sure and read the information at the end of this profile for more details on the guarantee) Mountain Goat can be added for a trophy fee as a great combo harvest. All hunts include a complimentary wolf tag (skinning fees are additional and paid directly to your guide).
This is a small family run operation located in the remote pristine mountains of Northern British Columbia. The area is only accessible by float plane, or a week long horseback ride. The remote location of the hunting area combined with the skilled guides and horses are an exceptionally talented team, bringing together “old style” hunts season after season. Due to the remoteness of the camps there are only generators to provide power, and the only form of communication is via satellite phone for emergency purposes.
This outfitter only accepts a limited number of hunters each year to ensure that top quality animals are harvested each season. The remote location of the hunting area guarantees that there is very little to no pressure from resident hunters. This, combined with the conservation and preservation of the high quality animals roaming through the area, allows clients to have a highly successful, personalized once in a lifetime hunting experiences.
HORSEBACK HUNTS:
This outfitter's Stone Sheep horseback hunts are a twelve day exclusive horseback hunt, combined with some hiking if hunters are physically capable. All hiking are short hikes to vantage points to locate rams. Their skilled guides and horses work together to build an exceptional team bringing together their exclusive hunts. Their area offers prime habitat for large Stone Sheep, as well as Mountain Goats.
BACKPACK HUNTS:
This outfitter also offers a backpack hunt for those that are physically fit and ready to take on the mountain. This option is less money, and it is imperative that hunters understand that this is true sheep hunt. This hunt is a backpack hunt from start to finish. This is a one on one hunt into an area that has produced phenomenal sheep, and the guides that spearhead this hunt option are very familiar with the area, and they are confident in successful results. There is a possibility that on this particular hunt that you will see a Canadian resident that is also hunting. Regardless, the guides are confident that they can make it happen. There is an additional packer/glasser that will cost $250/day. The outfitter strongly suggests that all clients take advantage of this.
"RETURN AND HUNT POLICY": If client hunts the duration of his/her scheduled/booked hunt, and does not have an opportunity to harvest a legal stone sheep, client can return and hunt again (must coordinate with outfitter on dates) for a small fee. When a sheep is harvested there will be a small harvest fee due. There is no limit on the amount of times a client can return under these same parameters, but client is limited to one return visit annually (must coordinate with outfitter on dates). *Note: If client has an opportunity at harvesting a legal ram and unfortunately misses, this "return and hunt" policy does not apply.
There is a weight restriction of 250lbs for these horseback hunts, as it is a very physically taxing hunt for both hunters and the horses. They do have lake hunts for moose available for guests who do not meet these restrictions, and/or anyone looking for a less physically demanding hunt.
