DESCRIPTION:

Southeast Alaska boasts some of the densest Mountain Goat populations in the world and is known to produce many trophy class animals. After arriving in Ketchikan we will fly into one of the many high alpine lakes located in the Misty Fjords National Monument and set up base camp near the lake shore. We will then negotiate 1,000 to 3,000 feet elevation in sometimes very steep terrain to where we will set up spike camps and proceed to locate goats we intend to stalk.

Weather plays a significant role in determining the enjoyment and success of your hunt. For the most part, Goat hunting is probably the most physically demanding of all the big game hunting. The quality of the hunt is very much determined by the physical condition of the hunter. We recommend that you be in good condition and utilize the best equipment you can. Hunting takes place from September through the end of October.

Experience some of the finest hunting available in Southeast Alaska for Trophy Coastal Black Bears. This outfitter operates in the serene inside passage waters in Southeast Alaska. They have a variety of adventures that they offer ranging from saltwater fishing for all five species of pacific salmon, halibut, and a multitude of bottom fish, to freshwater fishing for salmon, trout, and steelhead. They also have fully guided Big Game Hunts for Coastal Black Bears, Mountain Goats, and Sitka Blacktail Deer, as well as Waterfowl Hunting.

For the fall combo hunts, there's a 2-deer limit per hunter, and the pricing of this hunt includes harvesting both. Some bucks may still have velvet on the antlers and sleeker reddish colored summer coats during the earlier months. Expect anything from blue skies and sun to heavy rain and wind on both Spring (April, May, and June) and fall (September and October) hunts. They commonly set crab and shrimp pots while hunting as well.

All bear hunts offer the opportunity to combine fresh or saltwater fishing, fall Sitka Blacktail Deer, and waterfowl if you wish to extend your visit. Staying at their bed and breakfast for an extended stay after the hunt is something that should be considered. Their Bed & Breakfast is a private 2 bedroom unit with a living area, full kitchen, and a bath. For the bedrooms, the 1st bedroom has a double bed and a single, 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds. The living area has a couch, TV, DVD player, table, chairs, and Internet accessibility. They can sleep up to six comfortably. Every morning fresh muffins, fruit, cereal, and juice are served. If you prefer a hot breakfast your refrigerator is stocked with eggs, bacon, and different kinds of bread for toast. And of course, there is always coffee!

Whether you are planning to visit by cruise ship, Alaska Airlines, or the Alaska Marine Highway… this outfitter has the adventure and accommodations that will surpass all of your expectations.
