With the home base camp being located 70 miles south of Glasgow in the Larb Hills bordering the Charles M Russell National Wildlife Refuge (CMR) and the Fort Peck Reservoir. Elk hunts are one of the most exciting hunts you can experience. The hunts take place in the Missouri Breaks on both private and public ground. This area is located in southern Phillips and Southern Valley, which would be areas 622, 631, and 700. They hunt from an established wall tent campsite which is centrally located on the private ground. Rarely do you go a day without seeing an elk.
They offer two different styles of archery hunts. Ground blinds and tree stands placed on water holes or travel routes are a very effective way of hunting on their private ground. Stands are all within easy walking distance from camp. The next style of a hunt is a combination of spot and stalk along with some calling and decoys. This hunt takes place on the Charles Russell Wildlife Refuge (CMR). Good physical condition is a must for this hunt. The terrain varies from rough coulees, steep draws, scattered pines and rolling badlands.
Rifle hunts are spot and stalk with a lot of glassing on both the CMR and private land.
