DESCRIPTION:

These aoudad hunts in Texas take place on a private, 35,000 acre ranch. Accommodations will be a ranch style house with a cook on staff. They require a minimum group size of 2 in order to book and can accommodate up to 6 hunters max. You’ll arrive at the lodge mid-day, get adjusted and settle in, then hunt the evening. Then you hunt the next 3 full days. On the last day, you’ll hunt for a half day, then pack up and leave. This makes for a comfortable itinerary where you’re not tired out or rushed from late or early arrivals.

This is a rifle hunt, but we would consider guiding archers that are up for a challenge. The ranch has several ponds and “drinkers” (watering stations). They do not harvest rams under 30 inches hunters have an opportunity at 30-33.5" rams. Hunting method usually consists of driving around in a UTV (side-by-side) where stop to glass. Once you spot an animal worth pursuing, we’ll stalk on foot from there.

I grew up hunting in the beautiful town of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and it’s here that I developed my passion for pursuing trophy big game animals like elk and mule deer. After many years of developing my skills as a hunter, I decided to make it my career, so I started guiding for outfitters here in my home state. Four years ago, I started this outfitting business.

I believe in honesty and integrity in my business. If you have goals for a certain class of animal, I will give you my honest opinions on the best way to accomplish them. Not every unit has 400? bull elk. Thirty-inch mule deer don’t grow on trees. I take pride in my knowledge of the state of New Mexico and my clients appreciate not wasting their money having been promised a hunt the outfitter couldn’t deliver on.

I offer fair chase, fully guided hunts across the entire state of New Mexico for elk, mule deer, antelope (pronghorn), oryx, ibex, aoudad. I also have a couple awesome ranches in Texas where we pursue aoudad and many other exotic plains-game species.
