DESCRIPTION:

This HFA Endorsed Outfitter is a family of professional hunters & outfitters. They provide drop camps or fully guided elk, mule deer, & bear hunts. They invite you to our camps for an unforgettable experience Their main focus as a business is to share what they love and know about the outdoors with others who feel the same. This is their chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy doing what they are passionate about.

They hunt elk and mule deer in pinyon-juniper and pockets of sagebrush in lower elevations. Higher elevations are interspersed with sagebrush, dark timber, and aspen stands. Elevation ranges from 4,327 - 8,968ft. The climate is generally mild compared to other parts of CO.

The terrain varies from rolling sagebrush to steep-sided canyons. The ruggedness of this unit is ranked 20/185. They're not joking when they say you should physically prepare for this hunt. It is rough, steep, and rocky. Little is accessible by 4x4 so expect to do a lot of walking. They HIGHLY recommend physical training and being in good condition before this hunt, they cannot stress this enough. They will be hunting wild game, so bring your walking boots and a camera, you won’t want to miss the breath taking views of CO’s remote wilderness. Elk and mule deer movements from high country to low country are dependent upon the weather and hunting pressure, so be prepared to go where the elk and deer are.

They have 2 drop camp options available:
One located high on the mountain and one located in the high desert. They will place you according to the weather.

Their drop camps are a DIY style hunt for the self-sufficient hunter. Successful hunters hunt hard and put in the work for their hunt. They will send you in the right direction and leave you with tips and techniques on how to be successful. They do not guarantee they can help get your game out. It is crucial that you get the hide off of your animal immediately, if you leave it overnight it will spoil.

They will provide lodging accommodations in the form of an outfitter tent easily accessible by vehicle. These camps are fully equipped with pots, pans, 2 burner camp chef stove, cooking utensils, silverware, plates, bowls, paper towels, hand towels, toilet paper, toilet, hand washing bucket, a wood stove, propane, lighting, water, shower, cots for sleeping, chairs, tables, and we'll make sure you don't run out of firewood!
