HUNT DETAILS:
This outfitter conducts hunts on private ranches across Colorado's eastern plains, leasing access to hundreds of thousands of acres in various units. Guides pick clients up before daylight to search for trophy antelope meeting their standards. They glass areas like pastureland, CRP fields, and canyon country, aiming to locate and plan for the largest buck possible. Hunts focus on mature antelope scoring 75” and higher, with potential for 82” or more. Techniques include spot-and-stalk or sitting over waterholes. Shot ranges vary: 20-60 yards for bows, 100 yards for muzzleloaders, and up to 500 yards for rifles. They highly recommend that archery clients get comfortable shooting from a seated position. Stalking and shooting situations can be awkward, so it is highly desired that you find a position that allows you to stay comfortable for long periods of time.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Hunts offer a 1:1 or 2:1 hunter-to-guide ratio based on your preference. Guides handle transportation during your hunt, provide professional photos, cape your trophy, and offer recommendations for game processors and taxidermists. While snacks and water are provided on all hunts, meals and lodging are not included with some hunt packages and may vary in cost depending on whether lodging is included.
LICENSE PROCESS:
Colorado uses a preference point system for drawing licenses in limited units. Each unit and season require a different number of preference points to draw a license with some areas having OTC tags. Huntin' Fool License Application Service will help you apply at the time of application.
