I was born and raised in a small town named Bradford, Pennsylvania. Growing up in a state with a rich hunting heritage like PA sparked my interest in hunting and a fishing at a very early age. When I was six, my father gave me my first weapon, a Crossman pellet gun. Nothing was safe!
Having a father and several uncles that hunted started me on my path. Starting with chipmunks and songbirds and moving up to squirrels and rabbits, I could hardly wait until I turned 12 to be able to go on my first official deer hunt. In those days in PA, the adage was "If it's brown, it's down!" and I certainly did my part to keep that tradition alive. I spent a lot of my teenage and early twenties years chasing every critter I could find in my home state. As I got older, I knew I needed to expand my horizons.
My first "booked" hunt was travelling to northern Quebec to chase Caribou. I was now hooked on seeing new places and pursuing new adventures. Since that first trip, I have been on nearly 50 more. I have hunted from Alaska to Mexico, from South America to Spain, from Tajikistan to Tanzania and lots of places in between. My loving and very patient wife has heard the term "hunt of a lifetime" more times than she can count.
Being a father of two incredible kids, I have had the opportunity to share some of my adventures with them and I look forward to many, many more.
Whenever I am asked what my favorite hunt was, my response is always "the next one." I am always looking forward to the next adventure and the opportunity to keep chasing my dreams.
