“The Gunwerks Magnus muzzleloader is a perfect long-range muzzleloading solution for either a backpack or basecamp hunter. It is lightweight at 9.8 lbs. and breaks the mold of the former heavy long-range muzzleloaders. Another great feature about this muzzleloader is the fact it uses readily available muzzleloading products like Blackhorn 209 powder, Powerbelt bullets, and U.M.L ignition primers. This allows more flexibility to find products in general sporting goods stores whereas other long- range custom muzzleloaders use specialty bullets and primers that are hard to find and not readily available.

The muzzleloader system, including scope and Revic rangefinder, is set up to be ready to go out of the box. I used this muzzleloader on multiple hunts in 2021, and once I verified the ballistics at the range, I was off and running. I was ringing steel at 600 yards and felt very confident. The first hunt was a backpack hunt for mule deer, and once I located my target buck, I made a one-shot kill at 350 yards. I was so impressed with the muzzleloader that I loaned it to a friend for his daughter’s late season mule deer hunt in which she made a great one-shot kill on a tremendous buck at 275 yards. The fact that this long-range muzzleloader is light enough to pack around all day, yet has a light enough recoil for a small girl to shoot is flat out impressive.” – Garth Jenson, Hunt Advisor
