Leaves have fallen to the ground and snow blankets the area. It’s signaling an end to the 2021 hunting season. Did it fly by far too fast? Hopefully you had your camera with you and you captured all of those special moments in the woods. If you did, we want to share those memories with you and the rest of the Huntin’ Fool community! And the best part, you could receive some really cool prizes just by sending us your photos and writing up and submitting the story of your hunt. Let’s take a look at the prizes that await you for submitting to us in 2022.
COVER STORY
For 2022, Weatherby will continue to sponsor our Cover Story Contest. The 12 stories that are selected as covers will receive a Weatherby Backcountry 2.0 rifle (standard steel action with thin fluted barrel), or they may choose a Camilla Ultra Lightweight rifle. The retail value of this prize is $2,499. On top of that, the Cover Story winners receive 20 copies of the magazine they are featured in.
PRINTED STORIES
Every story that is printed in our magazine in 2022 will receive a story package. These packages are valued at $200 and include HF swag and some great items from a few of our advertising partners. Items in this year’s package include Koola Buck bags, a Last Light headlamp, a MTN OPS Ignite sampler (a box with a shaker bottle, decal, and five different Ignite flavor trail packs) and a container of Pink Lemonade Ignite trail packs, a Huntin’ Fool branded scope coat, a Huntin’ Fool hat, a Huntin’ Fool campfire mug, and four copies of the magazine. However, these are just a few of the items that will be included. There are more to come! Watch for our Story Contest page in the January 2022 issue for a full list of the items included in the story packages.
TROPHY ROOM PHOTO CONTEST
We are changing things up a bit for the Trophy Room Photo Contest. This year, Garmin is the title sponsor, and each month, the winner will receive a one- time use $300 Garmin online voucher. These winners are selected based on the quality and composition of their photo.
STORY SUBMISSIONS
A prize just for sending in your story? Yep! We will send you a new Huntin’ Fool decal when you send us your story and photos. You take the time to share your story and you walk away with a little Huntin’ Fool swag.
WAYS TO SUBMIT
There are two ways to submit your stories and photos. The preferred method is via our website at www.huntinfool.com/submission. Fill in your information, upload your files, and you’re all set! We will then send you an email confirmation that we received your submission. Don’t forget to include your outfitter’s name (if you hunted with one) and to label your photos so that we know who is who when it comes to photo captions.
The second option for submitting is to email your stories and photos to submit@huntinfool.com. Within the body of the email, please include the following information about your harvest: state, species, unit, weapon, and outfitter (if applicable). Again, you will receive a confirmation reply that we received your submission.
We hope that you’ll take the time to share your successes with us. This grows our community and connects us as we build and share memories. We’ll be watching for your submissions. We’re ready to hand out some awesome prizes in 2022!
