You'll rarely find a lightweight hiking sock with the same reinforced heel/toe protection and strength we weave into our heavy-duty boot socks. The fine merino wool fibers in the Yellowstone socks are superior with their insulating moisture management and no-itch properties. By blending the soft wool fibers with longwearing synthetics, like nylon or polypropylene, we have dramatically increased the durability of these socks, especially in high wear areas like the heels and toes. The placement of reinforcement padding under the foot, at the toe, and at the heel provides extra padding that you are sure to appreciate after long, hard day afield. The sock consists of 36% merino wool, 35% polypropylene, 20% nylon, 6% elastic, and 3% lycra.
