It seems like we were just finishing up the Wyoming elk draw and cutting our teeth on the first draw results of the year. Now there are only a few states left to apply for and schedules are filling up for most, and for others, the big, red unsuccessful emails keep coming across their screens. Don’t worry, Huntin’ Fool has your back with both scenarios.

One of the most underutilized tools Huntin’ Fool members have access to is Member Draw. The biggest advantage of the Member Draw list is that you will be talking to members who have been in your unit on your hunt in recent years. The “boots on the ground” experience is something that you just can’t beat. In order to receive a Member Draw list, you must draw a permit and then let us know. Once we receive your request, you will be sent the most accurate data we can provide, and after 20+ years, we have a lot of data!

Once you’ve drawn a tag and you’ve decided you do not want to go selfguided, you’ll want to take advantage of our Endorsed Outfitters. They are by far the best in the industry. With hundreds of outfitters in every state, we have done the legwork to get the cream of the crop. If an outfitter isn’t cutting it, we no longer work with them. Ideally, we like to give you multiple options to give you some skin in the fight to chat with the outfitters and decide which one will work best for you. If you didn’t draw a tag, no worries. Isaiah Joner, our Outfitter Specialist, and the other Hunt Advisors can still help you book your once-in-alifetime hunt. We work with multiple outfitters who have guaranteed permits and can get you in the field this fall. This is also the time of year for cancellation, last-minute, and reducedprice hunts to become available. Make sure to check your emails from us for updates on these hunts.

With many opportunities to have good hunts for deer, elk, and antelope to fill your schedule, we will be covering the best opportunity states in the next few issues. However, if you want something better than an over-the-counter hunt in a good unit, call Logan Hedges. He heads up our Landowner Tag division. You can look on our website for the tag of your dreams or you can call Logan and let him know what you’re looking for. Who knows, he may have a gem in his back pocket.

For those of you fortunate ones who draw a permit this year, don’t forget to utilize all of the tools Huntin’ Fool offers. Between chatting with a Hunt Advisor, accessing Member Draw, and booking an outfitter, we want to give our members every opportunity to have a record year. For those who have not drawn, there is hope in filling your schedule this fall with guaranteed permits, over-the-counter tags, and landowner tags. Whatever your schedule looks like this fall, give 6 us a call. We love to talk hunting!
