The NEXUS rifle system from the engineering minds at Gunwerks is the next step in the evolution of the Long-Range Rifle System. We’ve shed the limitations put in place by the Rem 700 platform. The result yields both luxury and technology in a future-proof platform with a world of possibilities. The result of over two years of research and development and massive investment in manufacturing infrastructure and technology, the NEXUS is the first fully vertically integrated rifle system coming out of Gunwerks’ state-of-the-art facility in Cody, Wyoming.
“I had the privilege of attending the launch event at Gunwerks’ facility in Cody, Wyoming earlier this summer and assembled a 6.5 PRC model of this new NEXUS rifle with my own hands. The innovation that Gunwerks has put into this entirely new rifle system exemplifies their motivation to lead the industry with their in-house builds of actions, barrels, and stocks from raw materials. This is not simply an ‘assembled rifle,’ it was designed and created from the ground up.
I decided this would be my rifle to take to Alaska for the Dall sheep guided hunts this fall. My hunter decided that he was confident in this rifle and used it to take his first Dall sheep at 420 yards on opening day. Having an easy-to-fit stock and grip design coupled with the Gunwerks 6IX suppressor makes this rifle extremely forgiving and easy to make the shot-of-a-lifetime when the time comes. My setup with a Vortex scope and the suppressor weighs in at a tolerable 9.1 lbs., which is a comfortable weight for me while backpacking in the mountains. I look forward to seeing more rifle systems created on the NXT action and additional calibers that will undoubtedly come from the team at Gunwerks.” – Austin Atkinson, Hunt Advisor
