Home to Slide Rock Peak, Montana’s “extremely wild,” scarcely known Snowcrest Range aches to be explored by those who aren’t intimidated by the Trail Less TraveledTM. Although its peaks rise above 10,500', these mountains get surprisingly little attention due to their isolation, but they practically beg the adventurous hiker to come explore, which sums up the spirit behind our namesake’s new boots. We’ve married agility to pure, beat-me-up toughness and kept them at only 3.6 lbs.

FEATURES:
·       7" all leather lace-to-toe lightweight uppers
·       5mm full-length nylon midsoles steady you in the most rugged terrain
·       Reinforced rubber toe and heel guards for ultimate abrasion protection
·       Windtex® waterproof, breathable, flexible membrane
·       Super-gripping Kenetrek grapon outsoles

“When trying to match a boot with a given hunting situation, there are a ton of different options out there to consider. When given the opportunity to put Kenetrek’s new Slide Rocks to the test, I was excited to see exactly what type of hunt these boots would be ideal for. My first reaction when I slipped them on was that they felt incredibly comfortable and lightweight. The extra padding around the ankle and slight flex in the sole gave the boot a feel that this hadn’t been the first time I’d laced them on.

After logging just a few dozen miles, it was clear the only time this boot will be left behind this season will be if the entire hunt will be spent in extremely steep terrain, necessitating a slightly stiffer boot, or if I need an insulated boot. Offering a great compromise of flexibility and stiffness, I would classify the boot as a perfect choice for summer scouting and earlier season hunts in moderate or rough terrain. The softer rubber sole is quite enough for archery stalks and outperformed any I’ve used when traversing wet logs or smooth rock. The Slide Rock boot is lightweight, comfortable, and tough, and for the top-end quality Kenetrek is known for, it comes at a great price point!” – Eric Bachofner, Hunt Advisor
