Eberlestock Foundation Pack Review: Built for Backcountry Hunters

The Foundation Pack is built for backcountry hunters who value comfort, stability, and efficient load hauling in a sleek design. With 2,500 cubic inches of storage, it’s ideal for day hunts and features a frame-mounted load panel to secure heavy loads close to your back for better balance.

Integrated Load Panel for Heavy Meat Hauling

The new Foundation Pack from Eberlestock is a true upgrade for any hunter looking for a comfortable day pack with all the meat-packing features and capabilities of a larger expedition-style pack. The integrated load panel is easy to access and adjust, keeping the weight high and centered for those heavy loads coming off the mountain. The frame is sturdy and stable, equipped with thick padding for the shoulder straps and hip belt that makes even the heaviest loads feel comfortable.

Spotting Scope Pocket and Rifle Scabbard Compatibility

The pack itself is the perfect size for day trips from a truck or base camp, offering plenty of room for everything you need for the day without all that extra space that we inevitably fill with the stuff we don’t need. It even features a full-size spotting scope pocket and is compatible with their rifle scabbard.

Eberlestock and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Partnership

Finally, one of my favorite things about this pack is that Eberlestock, in its continued dedication to conservation, has partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and will be donating a portion of each Foundation Pack sale to help further the conservation mission. We as hunters can’t ask for much more!
